This page presents an overview of our plan for product development in this area.
Riding clubs offer tremendously rewarding experiences to a great many riders. First, they provide opportunities for riders to share their passion for horses and get involved in fun activities ranging from social events to trail rides. And second, most offer easy, supportive, safe ways for aspiring competitive riders to get started with showing their horses.
In truth, riding clubs play a central role in helping riders get more involved with their horses and broaden their equestrian experiences. That’s why we’re developing this section of our website, an area devoted exclusively to helping clubs and their members succeed as never before.
Our Riding Clubs Curriculum
Our riding clubs curriculum serves two different kinds of needs. First, we’re developing a variety of videos to help riders get more out of their riding-club experiences. These will focus on things such as:
- Introductions to various types of riding-club programs
- Introductions to various breeds and riding disciplines
- Guidelines for safe trail riding
- How to prepare for and participate in schooling shows
As our curriculum grows, we’ll organize these videos by club network, with categories for youth-oriented clubs (pony clubs), breed-oriented clubs (e.g. Arabian clubs, Quarter horse clubs), discipline-focused clubs, etc.
The second type of training we’ll offer is help for the clubs themselves. We’ll work within each club network to produce training tools aimed at helping its clubs do a better job of attracting new members, serving existing members, and engaging everyone in more enjoyable, fulfilling activities. These will focus on things such as how to:
- Improve outreach to local communities
- Introduce prospective members to club programs
- Run clinics and special events
- Run schooling shows
Included in these training videos will be tools for running specific kinds of programs, events and activities. We’ll produce all of our riding-club videos in revenue-sharing partnerships with the leading clubs within each network.
Sign Up for Product Announcements
We’re already at work on a series of videos on how to run a “fun and learn” horse show, a new format that makes getting involved in competition an especially enjoyable, rewarding experience. More programs are on the way.
So make sure you use the form to the right on this page to sign up for product announcements. That way you’ll be among the first to know when each new training video becomes available.
Also, sign up to receive alerts for articles on Lindsey’s blog. Many of the upcoming articles will focus on issues of interest to club members.
Finally, we’d love to get your feedback on what kinds of products you’d like to see next, even if it’s not on our list. Send us your ideas via our suggestion box.
